Michael Keane: Everton close to signing Burnley defender

Manager Ronald Koeman has begun to focus his attention on defence, and the Times are reporting on Wednesday that Everton are keen to push through a £25m deal for Burnley defender Michael Keane before the squad returns for pre-season training next week.
Everton's head of recruitment, Steve Walsh, has always been a fan of Keane, and recommended that his former club try and sign the young defender last summer, but their bid was, thankfully, unsuccessful.
It's starting to look inevitable that Burnley centre-half Michael Keane is on his way to Everton.
As an immaculate defender who is not afraid to get stuck in, he should complement the current Everton set up nicely and ensure they have plenty of strength in depth and options in that area.
Everton have already secured the services of Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in a £30m deal from Sunderland and Davy Klaassen from Ajax for £23.6m.
