An armed man said to be dressed as a doctor opened fire at the 972-bed Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, reports say.

The shooter has been identified as Dr. Henry Michael Bello, a 45-year-old family medicine doctor formerly employed at the hospital, according to sources.

A shooting at a hospital here today left several people injured, including three doctors, law enforcement authorities said who declared the shooter dead.

NY media reported that at least two people had been injured. The conditions of the victims are not known at this time, and the gunman is still at-large.

The shooter pulled a rifle from under his white lab coat and opened fire inside the hospital.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio was briefed on the unfolding situation, according to a tweet from the mayor's office.
