  • Jamal Crawford wants to leave Clippers for Lakers

LaVar Ball, father of Los Angeles Lakers' Lonzo Ball, left, at halftime during a basketball game between the Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers at the NBA Summer League at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Putting all of the attention of his father LaVar aside, Lonzo Ball is projected to be a franchise-altering National Basketball Association player. All they have to offer a free agent is a $5.2 million midlevel exception.

Lonzo doesn't have time to dwell on his poor shooting night with the Lakers playing the Celtics on Saturday night in a highly anticipated showdown between Ball, the second overall pick in last month's draft, and Boston's Jayson Tatum, the third overall pick. His first play of the game was an alley-oop tossed from Steph Curry's-three-point range to a cutting Ingram that had the entire arena roaring. However, Ball hasn't even played a single game yet in the pros, and it seems the Lakers may want to ease him along slowly before they hand him the keys to the offense.

Manchester Arena gives update on plans to re-open
He said officers were "engaged" with the authorities in war-torn Libya where Abedi's brother, Hashem, is now being held. The killer had been caught on CCTV before the attack, stalking the streets of Manchester.

The second half was better for him defensively as the Lakers started switching screens on defense. Point guard Kendall Marshall had 11 assists. We know how he can affect the game.

In the overtime session, Ball missed shots, and the Clippers got a flawless two minutes from Sindarius Thornwell.

By the end of the fourth quarter and overtime, he was launching threes from several feet beyond the three-point line, not a swoosh to be found, only iron and groans from the rabid Summer League crowd.

But, Ljung wrote, "we need to ensure our path to long-term, independent success", which apparently includes reducing personnel. SoundCloud has raised over $298 million including $70 million from Twitter , showed data gleaned from Crunchbase.

"I just hate losing", Ball said in his usual monotone style following the dismal debut.

Lonzo will have plenty of options for distributing his passes, as each of his fellow draft picks - Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Thomas Bryant - is an above average 3-point shooter comfortable with running the floor. Ultimately, time will tell if it's a net positive or negative. On one play when he was alongside his opposing number, Ball as able to contest the shot and force a miss.

One thing that LaVar has been adamant about is the fact that he believes Lonzo will lead the Lakers back to the playoffs in his first year. Ok, maybe not, but it's Summer League, so let's have fun with it.
