White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned on Friday after President Donald Trump hired financier Anthony Scaramucci as his communications director, a White House official said.

And on and on and on - Spicer has ton of Patriots-related tweets on his account.

His comments come moments after White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned over Scaramucci's hiring.

"I don't want to speak for Sean. but he thought it would be best to that new team to start with a totally clean slate", Huckabee Sanders said.

Before being tapped by Mr Trump for the job of press secretary, Mr Spicer was spokesman for the Republican National Committee.

Mr Spicer congratulated Mr Scaramucci on his new position, saying: "It'll be great, he's a tough guy".

Meanwhile, Scaramucci named Huckabee Sanders the permanent press secretary to replace Spicer.

"We are a little bit like brothers where we rough each other up once in awhile, which is totally normal for brothers", Scaramucci said. "But he's a dear friend". "I'm a business person, I'm used to dealing with friction", he said. Trump routinely has labeled media outlets as "fake news", and once called them the "enemy of the American people". At a January 21 news conference, he verbally attacked the media and refused to take questions.

Sears to sell Kenmore products on Amazon
At around 11 a.m., Home Depot and Lowe's shares were down around 6 percent, while Best Buy was down more than 3 percent. Park said Sears made the deal in order to expand its brand distribution and omnichannel retail strategy.

On his first day, he took to the podium and made controversial remarks about the size of the crowd at President Trump's inauguration.

Rumours swirled then that Spicer may be on the chopping block. That appointment never went through and he instead took a job as senior vice president and chief strategy officer for the U.S. Export-Import Bank.

He also had previously worked in the administration of former president George W Bush, a time when he dressed up in an Easter Bunny costume for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

After being left vacant since Mike Dubke's resignation in May, the office of the director of communications for the White House is reportedly about to be filled.
