  • Pokémon GO Fest John Hanke on Stage

Californian Jonathan Norton who, after traveling to Chicago and participating in the disastrous Pokemon event, chose to file a lawsuit against Niantic seeking reimbursement of the costs of his displacement. With the unkept promises Niantic made about the festival, plaintiff Jonathan Norton feels that many attendees wouldn't have made the trip had they known the festival wasn't going to provide the experience that was both promised and expected. Most attendees were unable to play for hours, due to server overload the likes of which they hadn't seen since the game's launch.

Thus, many participants were never able to take advantage of the Pokemon and other exclusive bonuses during the event, giving rise to a shocking entry of Niantic CEO John Hanke and the rise of many songs "we cannot play "(we cannot play). By purchasing a ticket to the event, Norton was promised that he would have the chance to catch rare Pokemon, but he couldn't even connect to the game.

US Senate vote for new sanctions on Russian Federation
They fear the new sanctions could hinder key energy projects in Europe and further inflame internal European Union divisions. If he opts for a veto, the bill can become law anyway if two-thirds of both the House and Senate vote for an override.

The suit seeks unspecified damages to be determined at a trial. Polygon asked Niantic to reply, but they refused to comment on current legal issues.

The legendary birds have finally been unlocked in Pokémon GO, but not everything is going too well for Niantic right now.

Trial dates fixed for Jong-nam's accused murderers
One North Korean man was briefly held by Malaysian authorities in connection with the case, but was freed for lack of evidence. Shah Alam deputy police chief Superintendent Nek Zaidi Zakaria said police would be involved in an operation dubbed Op Prank.

While Niantic has offered refunds on admission (plus $100 of in-game currency) to attendees of Pokemon GO Fest, at least one man is not satisfied.

"But Niantic is not offering to refund people's travel expenses for coming to Chicago". On the other hand, Zimmerman defends its clients saying that these amounts will not suffice considering that many people had traveled from different parts of the world just to take part in the event and that the lawsuit against Niantic is simply because the company did not deliver what it promised. "Most of the people came from out of state, many people from other countries - I talked to someone who flew in from Japan".
