Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug. 01: The encounter between security forces and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists has ended at Hakripora village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, but heavy stone pelting by locals on security forces has started.

Dujana was a category "A++" terrorist and carried a reward of Rs. 15 lakh. As the security forces zeroed in on the militants' hideout, the latter opened fire at them triggering the encounter, the police sources added.

Dujana, who joined the LeT when he just 17, was killed when he tried to visit his wife in Pulwama. He came close to being caught in May but escaped with the help of stone-pelting protesters who gave him cover to run away.

Besides these most-wanted terrorists, security forces say that there are around over 100 militants active in different parts of South Kashmir alone.
