"Given the current political scenario, no one can compete with Narendra Modi", Nitish told mediapersons at a press conference.

With JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar forming a government with the NDA in Bihar today, the BJP and its allies now rule over 70 per cent of the country's population, marking an unprecedented saffron footprint.

Most attendees were unable to play for hours, due to server overload the likes of which they hadn't seen since the game's launch. The legendary birds have finally been unlocked in Pokémon GO , but not everything is going too well for Niantic right now.

Last Thursday, Nitish Kumar had taken oath as chief minister with support from the BJP, barely 24 hours after resigning from the post and quitting the grand alliance comprising JD (U), RJD and the Congress. Lalu brought up the criminal cases against Kumar in an attempt to discredit the JD (U) chief and protect his son Tejashwi from the corruption charges. The BJP has washed its hands over him.

Even as Kumar defended his decision to align with the BJP, JD (U) veteran Sharad Yadav earlier in the day voiced his disapproval, saying the mandate in the 2015 Assembly polls was for the Grand Alliance. However, press conference was remarkable for the pared-down ambition of Nitish Kumar.

NYPD responds to Trump comments on using force during arrests
In New York City, the president's comment and the reaction from the crowd recalled the days of former Mayor Rudolph W. Commentator Ben Shapiro was quick to push back against claims that Trump was endorsing police brutality.

After several days of silence, senior JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav finally broke his silence on Monday regarding Nitish's latest step. As Nitish Kumar's stand-in in Delhi, Sharad Yadav attended opposition meetings to decide on candidates for President and Vice President. Asserting that people of Bihar had given mandate to the alliance when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was rising to power in major parts of the nation, Yadav added that he is in grief with the breakup of the age-old friends.

Yadav was not alone in his diatribe against Kumar. "In his trademark style, Sharadji said, "There are some rumblings within, I will settle it down". However, on July 31, PM Narendra Modi led Centre faced embarrassment in Rajya Sabha as their new allies failed to back it with both attendance and support for the Constitutional amendment bill on backward classes. "Modi ji ka muqabla karne ki kisi mein kshamta vagairah ab hai nahi", Nitish said with a broad smile on his face. He said he'd met with Tejashwi and talked to him about the same. "The people of Bihar showed him his worth in 2010 (when RJD's strength was reduced to 22)", he said.
