Police in OH are searching for road rage suspects after a four year old boy was shot on a highway near Cleveland.

"After the mother honked her horn to pass another auto blocking the road, that vehicle allegedly followed the mother onto the freeway and fired shots into the woman's vehicle, police said", reports ABC News.

The woman told officers she found her 4-year-old child suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Police said he underwent surgery to remove bullet fragments.

The boy's mother, who has not been named, was driving with her son and seven-year-old daughter in the auto when she came across a vehicle blocking an intersection in Cleveland, Ohio. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital and is reportedly in serious condition. That's when two people inside the auto chased her down on the interstate, shooting at her vehicle.

They have been accused of fatally stabbing Trenton Cornell-Duranleau, 26, in Lathem's apartment in Chicago on July 27. Police have not said why the suspects were in California and have not released details on what led up to the murder.

The woman drove off of I-90 and exited at the East 55th Street ramp, where she called 911.

Police are still searching for suspects. Cleveland police said that the injured boy was sitting in the rear passenger side seat. Fortunately, the bullet didn't hit the little boy's brain.
