In news that should surprise not a single soul (particularly those whom have seen the photo in question), Taylor Swift has won her groping case against Colorado DJ David Mueller.

But Swift's counterclaim against Mueller, in which she alleged he assaulted and battered her when he allegedly groped her during the photo shoot ahead of the June 2, 2013 concert, persisted and went to the jury.

Taylor Swift will get the $1 she asked for from an ex-disc jockey who took her to court after he lost his job due to a more than 4-year-old groping claim. Swift responded with a counter-suit that included the assault and battery allegation; the cases were heard together in the trial, which opened on August. 7.

A jury in Denver decided on Monday (Aug. 14) that Mueller was in the wrong in a lawsuit Swift filed accusing him of sexually assaulting her.

Swift released a statement thanking her attorneys "for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault".

"My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard", she said, promising to make unspecified donations to groups that help sexual assault victims.

Swift's mother testified that her daughter was visibly upset after the incident. Both are smiling. Mueller's then-girlfriend is standing on the other side of Swift.

US District Judge William Martinez on Friday dismissed Mueller's accusation against Swift, saying there was no evidence that she had acted improperly.

Swift's bodyguard and photographer testified that they saw Mueller touch Swift inappropriately, but the deejay claimed his hand came in contact with what "seemed to be [Swift's] ribcage or ribs". "I never have said anything different".

In it, Mueller's hand is clearly below Swift's back.

Her attorney, Douglas Baldridge, said during his closing remarks that Swift was seeking only $1 in damages because she had no desire to bankrupt Mueller, but only wanted to send a message. But this is David Mueller, which had triggered the hostilities in September 2015, continuing the pop star and his managers, on the grounds that they had led to his dismissal two days after their brief meeting; he demanded three million dollars of loss of income and benefits. "She said in a statement".

Mueller sat down for his first TV interview about the ruling with ABC News, during which he was asked if "one of America's biggest superstars is lying or at least mistaken" about the encounter.

The Citizens then padded their lead when Brighton's Lewis Dunk scored an own-goal just five minutes later. Asked if he felt let down, Benitez said: "It's not me, it's everyone".

Swift said she was stunned - and didn't say anything to Mueller or halt the meet-and-greets because she didn't want to disappoint the few dozen people waiting in line for a photo with her.
