IS a family member or friend enduring a nervous wait ahead of A Level results day tomorrow?

Sheffield University has also told high-performing students that if they do better than expected they can switch to study at the institution.

One of these options is clearing, the UCAS system through which you can secure a place on a course that a university still needs to fill. Each year CCEA's examination's helpline responds to hundreds of calls from students, parents and schools who have queries about their examination results. Apprenticeships, vocational courses, getting a job, or taking a gap year are all perfectly viable options if you didn't get into a university - or even if you've simply changed your mind about going.

LSBU is challenging the idea that the Clearing process needs to be stressful by leading the way in helping prospective university students calmly plan and prepare so they can tackle A-level results day head on.

Sharon Hague, senior vice president of Pearson, which runs the exam board Edexcel, said she was "confident" the students who accessed the leaked documents had been identified and their results held back.

The functionality is definitely not live as yet, with the URL allo . google .com/web giving a 404 error when navigating to it. It's sort of similar to the user interface of Facebook's Messenger - the web version, to be more specific.

All hope is not lost if your results can't guarantee you a university place as you can search the Clearing list of courses that are under subscribed and call the Clearing hotline to see if there is still a place for you on a course come September.

LSBU, which is the number one London Modern University for graduate prospects, was the first university to offer a 24-hour Clearing helpline in 2016.

The UCAS Exam Results Helpline opened at 7.30am today, and more than 40 advisers will be on hand to take calls and offer guidance on what to do next.

For more information on ULaw's Clearing process, including contact details and visit day dates, visit its website.

The University is now taking Clearing applications and making offers to prospective students who wish to begin study in September.

China says trade with USA has no connection to North Korea
Would China fight for N Korea? " China's forced technology transfer is highly institutionalised", the official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the order before Trump's formal announcement.

Once you have accepted your Clearing place via email, you will receive a letter in the post from Ucas with details of your next step. Is the course right for you?

Talk to the person about the course and the university and ask if they'll accept you.

If you don't get through first time, keep trying.
