  • Ezekiel Elliott Admits to Drug Use In College During NFL Appeal

RUNNING back Ezekiel Elliott will serve his entire six-game suspension after an arbitrator denied his appeal last night.

Former NFL executive Harold Henderson, who was appointed to hear Elliott's appeal of the suspension, announced his decision Tuesday evening, three-and-a-half weeks after the suspension was handed down.

The lawsuit says the union and Elliott's representatives plan to file for a temporary restraining order in hopes of making Elliott eligible for the season opener September 10 against the New York Giants. Although the result of the appeal is disappointing, Elliott's attorneys intend to give Zeke his day in federal court. The court is set to rule by Friday on a request by the NFL Players Association for a temporary restraining order that would keep the suspension on hold beyond this weekend. The Week 2 game against the Denver Broncos will be the first indicator of how the team will handle Elliott's absence. The violation stems from accusations of domestic violence made against Elliott previous year. But his greatest argument is that both the NFL and the arbitrator have not required Elliott's accuser, nor NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, to testify. "Mr. Elliott is looking forward to having his day in federal court where the playing field will be level and the National Football League will have to answer for its unfair and unjust practices".

N.Korea claims successful test of hydrogen bomb (Third Lead)
North Korea has stated it is, at least in part, responding to Washington's decision to hold the exercises, which ended last week. North Korea's sixth nuclear test - probably its largest so far - sends out one clear political signal.

"We're just going to prepare for the Giants, and Zeke will practice until someone tells him not to", Coach Jason Garrett said (via the Dallas Morning News), "and the other guys will get ready to play".

McCarthy disputed a key claim in a lawsuit filed by the players' union on behalf of Elliott seeking to vacate an upcoming ruling on an appeal. Tiffany Thompson, Elliott's ex-girlfriend, said the Cowboys star physically abused her on multiple occasions in July 2016.

Elliott's allegedly been involved in a few domestic violence incidents but all of the cases were dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

US, Allies in Show of Force against N. Korea
It reiterated the importance of maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia at large. Independently of the joint exercises with South Korea, the U.S.

Arbitrator Harold Henderson's decision comes after last week's three-day appeal hearing that included sworn testimony from Elliott regarding domestic violence accusations made against him a year ago. The letter cited, photographic, electronic and medical evidence to back the decision.

Elliott was accused by ex-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson of domestic violence abuse while they were dating, including three alleged incidents after Elliott was the fourth overall pick of the Cowboys past year.

The NFLPA also said "without testimony from the commissioner, it was not possible to determine the full impact of the conspiracy, or precisely what the commissioner knew or did not know about his co-lead investigator's conclusion that there was not sufficient credible evidence to proceed with any discipline under a League Personal Conduct Policy". Think about that. Sure, Dallas may be quick to forgive, but you can believe fans in NY and Philadelphia will be ready with signs and chatter - at games and online - saying Elliott is nothing but an abusive ex.
