  • Instagram is letting some users share their Snapchat-like 'Stories' directly to Facebook

Facebook is looking to boost usage of its Snapchat-like Stories feature by letting people post from Instagram to its main mobile app.

The popularity of the stickers above suggests that Instagram users want their followers to know where they are, and how they feel.

"We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you". In a statement, an Instagram spokesperson confirmed the test, but declined to share more about the company's plans.

AAA: Gas prices up 16.7 percent from previous year
In Texas, two out of the three Port Arthur refineries remained closed and together they refine 1.163 million barrels of oil a day. D'Amelia, speaking from Stewart's corporate offices in Saratoga Springs, acknowledged a 45-cent jump in price is dramatic.

Sixty-seven percent of Americans report getting some of their news via social media at some point, according to a Pew Research survey of just under 5,000 US adults conducted last month and published Thursday. Of course, Instagram's move is aimed at driving more users to Facebook Stories.

The Stories feature, which is a copy of the Snapchat feature, was added to Instagram in August 2016. Perhaps by mixing Facebook and Instagram's Stories together, Facebook could solve this problem.

The latest feature, which is still under its testing phase, gives Instagram users the option to share photos and videos created with Instagram's in-app camera to their Facebook Story, as well as their Instagram Story.

Ever since Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012, the two apps have mostly been kept separate, according to TechCrunch. However, it looks like the feature has not done too well on Facebook and Messenger.

In other Facebook-related news, it also appears as though that the company is testing out colored comments.

However it seems that Facebook is still trying to make Stories on its platform happen.
