USA police arrested one person and confiscated a gun Friday morning while responding to a report of an active shooter at an OH high school, confirming there were no injuries.

The Columbus Ohio Police said they had the gun in their possession and there were no injuries.

Columbus Scioto High School serves about 100 students grades 6-12 who have social, behavioral, and emotional issues.

Right now, it's not clear if there are any injuries.

Police in Columbus, Ohio, announced the arrest of a suspect in an active school shooting incident. By early afternoon CCS said any remaining students that weren't picked up at Linmoor were taken back to Columbus Scioto HS for regular dismissal.

The school describes itself as created to serve "emotionally disturbed" students in grades 6-12. "They make us take our shoes off". "We all went into a lockdown and we had to just go hide near the lockers", Ian Addis told the newspaper.

Ian's mother, Valerie Addis, says school officials told her they would be reviewing security procedures.

A message was left for a Columbus schools representative. "I trust the teachers and the aides with his life".
