SELF DRIVE autonomous auto bill passes US House

The Senate has also been working on its own self-driving bill, and plans to hold a hearing in September to debate whether it will cover trucking as well. It also bars states from preventing such testing, which many auto companies claim is critical to getting the vehicles to consumers within the next three to four years.

We've been following the progress of the SELF DRIVE Act, legislation that would allow autonomous vehicles on regular roads, for awhile now.

Companies like Google-owned Waymo, Telsa, Uber, and longtime automotive manufacturers such as General Motors, have had to tiptoe around strict regulations in their testing of autonomous vehicle tech, and this legislation would certainly remove some of those road blocks. The House bill only applies to passenger cars and light trucks.

The House of Representatives has passed legislation entitled the Safely Ensuring Lives Future Deployment and Research In Vehicle Evolution Act - otherwise known to us plebeians as the SELF DRIVE act.

Urban Meyer weighs in on Ohio State's passing game
Ohio State is plenty capable of moving the football but to outscore the Sooners by a touchdown in this game is very debatable. OU's playoff chances faded last September with losses to Houston and Ohio State in the season's first three weeks.

The bill requires the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ("NHTSA") to establish testing standards, including to determine when to use performance, as opposed to process and procedure, standards.

As self-driving technologies, and other autonomous features, have come to the forefront of the automotive industry, hacking has become a huge concern.

U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis, R-Fla., who sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee with Latta, was the only co-sponsor of the bill from the Sunshine State. "I'm really proud of the fact that we got this out of the House".

Current federal rules bar self-driving cars without human controls on US roads and automakers think proposed state rules in California are too restrictive.

United Nations investigators say Assad carried out sarin gas attack on Khan Sheikhoun
Residents interviewed by the commission and first responders suggested the attack happened during a regular religious gathering. The United States was also cited in the report for what they claim were legal strikes against Al Qaeda militants at a mosque.

The Self Drive Act provides exemptions to automakers for 25,000 autonomous test vehicles that don't meet safety standards in the first year and rises to 100,000 vehicles over three years.

Companies including Waymo, GM, Ford Motor Co (F.N), Uber Technologies Inc UBER.UL, Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) and others are aggressively pursuing automated vehicle technologies.

Meanwhile, some consumer groups have sought additional safeguards. This bill also includes regulations on cyber security to prevent things like vehicle hacking from occurring.

'American Horror Story: Cult' exploits political divide
It's too early to confirm but we can already assume she's attempting to isolate Ally from her family on Kai's orders. Granted, the 2016 election is where her hysteria started, but the clown comic book was the accelerant.
