  • Megyn Kelly defines what she wants for her new talk show

Kelly went on to tell the audience about her childhood, and journey from lawyer to cable news anchor to NBC, although she never mentioned Fox. Here you have four seasoned comedy actors (Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally), who, if nothing else, probably know how to be amusing and chatty and casual.

Megyn Kelly's "Today" debut was as live as it gets on Monday, but her first morning out got mixed reviews, nearly immediately from the early responder news sites and on social media.

Kelly's debut week is packed with other morning-show-friendly fare, including a sit-down interview with the cast of This Is Us on Tuesday.

Pressure on China the key to North Korea
As per the new penalties', the nations will have to choose whether to do business with the United States or North Korea . China called for restraint on all sides after a war of words between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un escalated.

Kelly, whose chipper demeanor was markedly different from her clipped, serious tone during her Fox News days on "The Kelly File", led things off with a joke on the inaugural episode of "Megyn Kelly Today".

The debut was like watching a network try to assemble its own Bride of Frankenstein, using parts of Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and whatever else it can find.

"Megan Kelly Today" premiered Monday morning - and it appears the program is just as rocky her previous one. A middle segment featured the "Today" regulars welcoming Kelly to 30 Rockefeller Center, a predawn festivity of studied smarm, with the added delight of seeing Kathie Lee Gifford sit in her makeup chair and play nice-nice with Kelly the way an old house cat would welcome a naive and extra-squeaky mouse to the kitchen.

G4 nations call for early reforms in UN Security Council
She also described Pakistan as "the greatest exporter of havoc, death and inhumanity". Pakistan's Prime Minister must answer why his nation spurned this offer".

"Here's to the newest addition of our family, here's to many happy mornings, here's to Megyn Kelly Today", Lauer said, raising his glass.

Even her husband Douglas Brunt showed his support by bringing in flowers to congratulate her. Things were definitely light and fluffy, but viewers didn't seem to like the new Kelly. "It's everywhere and it's gotten so dark", Kelly said.

The peacock network has high hopes for Kelly after luring her away from Fox News for a reported $17 million a year only to see her Sunday newsmagazine show struggle in the ratings.

Pakistan Violates Ceasefire in J&K's Keran Sector; Army Jawan Martyred
At least 26 people were also injured in the cross-border firing and shelling in the Harpal, Sajeetgarh and Charwah sectors. In both the ceasefire violations, the Indian Army is strongly retaliating to the intermittent firing by Pakistan.
