Qualcomm sues Apple over software licensing, sharing code with Intel

The Cupertino firm might not completely drop Qualcomm for now, but it's certainly a possibility. Apple's move comes amid a dispute over the iPhone maker's access to the San Diego-based company's proprietary technology, according to people familiar with the matter.

Qualcomm's legal spat with Apple is growing nastier; the chip giant now claims Apple tried to give rival Intel a sneak peek into Qualcomm's trade secrets. When making the request, Apple sent out a message that CC'd an Intel engineer.
