  • Missouri AG Josh Hawley launches investigation of Google

Missouri's attorney general is trying to find out if Google has violated the state's antitrust and consumer protection laws.

Josh Hawley, a Republican seeking to unseat Democratic U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill in next year's elections, announced at a press conference that he issued an investigative subpoena to Google.

Also of interest to Hawley's investigation is the roughly 70 percent of all card transaction information that Google collects. Google has said it provides consumers with the option to control their privacy settings and does not provide third parties with personally identifiable information like names, email addresses and billing information.

In India, the base model (6GB RAM+ 64GB storage) costs Rs 32,999 and the top-end (8GB RAM+ 128GB storage) one is priced Rs 37,999. If we talk about the leaks, the OnePlus 5T gained back its 3.5 mm AudioJack which is not present on the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

"It is a very strong concern that we have potentially in Google a company that is gathering all sorts of personal confidential information and then using that personal confidential information for profit", says Hawley. In a statement, Hawley said he also hopes to glean whether the practice.

Hawley's office said Missouri's strong consumer-protection laws could help with a potential lawsuit over user data.

The investigation delves into Google's collection of data on users and whether Google, the world's most popular search engine, has manipulated search results at the expense of competitors, according to a release from Hawley's office.

NGT slams Delhi govt on Odd-Even, verdict today
The tribunal on Friday said the scheme was a "farce" , and that it can not be implemented from next week without its permission. This decision has come as a result of rising air pollution in Delhi, and an attempt to reduce vehicular pollution in the city.

The Missouri investigation comes on the heels of a $2.7 billion antitrust fine issued to the tech giant by the European Union in June for unfairly featuring its own shopping services in its influential search results.

Patrick Lenihan, a Google spokesman, declined to say how the company intends to respond to the subpoena because it has not received it yet.
