This weekend, a remarkable supermoon lit up the sky and made for some pretty unbelievable photos for those lucky enough to see it.

The December full moon is also referred to as the "cold moon".

Two candidates emerge as Florida State's top choices to replace Jimbo Fisher
Fisher had an 83-23 record in eight seasons with the Seminoles and won the 2013 BCS national championship with a 14-0 record. Florida State University president John Thrasher told The Florida Channel that he is hoping to hear about a decision soon.

EarthSky notes this January super blue moon "will pass right through the Earth's shadow", making for a super blue moon eclipse!

In the morning light, the 2017 supermoon drifted over the horizon, disappearing from view until next year.
