  • Army Major 3 Jawans Killed After Pakistan Violates Ceasefire In J&k

There was no immediate reaction from Pakistan.

A statement issued by the Indian Army said Indian forces retaliated heavily to the cross-border firing. The Indian Army has, over the last few months, repeatedly told the Pakistan army to desist from actively abetting cross-border terrorism and infiltration, warning that all misadventures to either target Indian troops or provide cover fire to infiltrating terrorists would be met with retaliatory punitive fire assaults.

"One major, three soldiers got killed in cross border firing by Pakistan troops in Bhimber Gali area of Keri sector on Saturday afternoon at around 1215 hours", official spokesperson here said.

"They [four slain Indian soldiers] were grievously hurt during the firing from Pakistani troops and later succumbed to their injuries", Indian Defence Ministry spokesman N N Joshi said.

They also made Flowers uncomfortable in the pocket, as the senior quarterback missed two would-be touchdowns early in the game. Wide receiver Keke Coutee , the Red Raiders' most explosive player, caught 11 passes for 187 yards and one touchdowns.

Responding to the gravest provocation, the Indian Army gave befitting reply to the Pakistan Army escalating tension in the region.

Kashmir's director-general of police, S.P. Vaid, said the four soldiers died after they were attacked by a team of attackers who came from the Pakistani side of Kashmir.

"In the Pakistani troops firing, five army men including a Major, sustained injuries".

However, among the injured, four soldiers including the major succumbed later, the spokesman said, adding the soldiers manning the fence retaliated the fire strongly and effectively.
