That wasn't the case for Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, and a plane full of people flying from Los Angeles to Tokyo (an eleven hour flight by the way) when their flight turned back four hours in and landed back in L.A. because of an unauthorized passenger aboard the All Nippon Airways flight.
According to Ms Teigen, the passenger boarded at LAX airport with a ticket for a different airline, although this was not confirmed by authorities.
Model Chrissy Teigen was aboard and live-tweeted the developments. She wondered on Twitter why the plane was turning around hours into the 11-hour flight.
All Nippon Airways apologized to its passengers saying it “failed to deliver the customer service we strive for.”
ANA said it was trying to determine how the passenger boarded the wrong flight.
In its statement, the airline said it is investigating how the erroneous boarding occurred and offered apologies to those who were inconvenienced.
"At the time during the flight, the pilot in command was presented with information about the discrepancy in the passenger manifest".
