  • The Texans were a must-see with Deshaun Watson as their quarterback

Bill O'Brien may not be coaching the Texans much longer, and it has everything to do with his relationship with general manager Rick Smith.

Smith has been tending to his wife throughout this season while she has undergone treatment in Arizona.

Erica Garner, Activist Daughter Of Eric Garner, Dies At 27
Family members were being called to Woodhull Hospital early Thursday morning to say their final goodbyes to the young activist. A message posted on her Twitter account said she had brain damage "from lack of oxygen while in cardiac arrest".

Smith has been Houston's general manager since 2006 following a stint as director of pro personnel with the Denver Broncos.

We all wish Smith and his wife strength and positive vibes as they deal with her cancer and hope it all ends positively.

Influenza researchers have blamed this decreased effectiveness on the most common process of vaccine manufacturing, which uses chicken eggs.

Smith reportedly has a close relationship with Texans owner Bob McNair and his son, team vice chairman and chief operating officer Cal McNair. He signed a four-year extension through the 2020 National Football League draft with the Texans last year. Sure there's going to be some issues arise when it comes to O'Brien's future in Houston and who he will now talk with as it relates to said future. The Texans went 9-7 in each of the head coach's first three seasons and won AFC South titles in 2015 and 2016.

Smith released a statement on Sunday after the Texans' 22-13 Week 17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Should McNair decide to punt and put off the decision until O'Brien's contract expires next year, sources say the Texans could be maintaining a hard work environment. He also would come with Bill Belichick's approval from his days on the Patriots staff. O'Brien is 31-32 in four seasons.
