  • Bloke Sets Apartment On Fire Trying To Kill A Spider

A Northern California man was so pissed off by the big spider he saw in his apartment over the weekend that he chose to kill it using fire.

Wolf spiders can grow to the size of a person's hand in some cases, though they are often smaller.

While on fire the creature ran under a mattress and set it ablaze, Lyndsey Wisegarver, a carer for one of the men living in the flat, told the newspaper.

The residents unsuccessfully tried to quench the blaze using a garden hose but, before long, a fire was raging in the room. Firefighters in Redding were called to a home in here someone had used a large torch lighter to fight back against a spider.

The Redding Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that left an apartment uninhabitable Sunday afternoon.

Although the blaze was quickly extinguished, it caused around £8,000 in damage ($11,000).

All the residents escaped from the building, and no one was injured, Pitt said.

Wisegarver said she had been thinking about moving out anyway and the fire had just sped up the process.

But the company operated largely in secret until last week when it announced partnerships with Volkswagen Group and Hyundai. They're betting big on autonomous vehicles and their Drive IX technology is one of the most advanced platforms around.

Pitt said the fire spread to a closet in the bedroom, but firefighters were able to keep it from getting into the attic or neighboring apartments.

"We'll make it work", she said, the Searchlight reported.

Wolf spiders are not poisonous, and although they are typically non-aggressive, they will bite if they feel provoked.
