  • Teacher arrested, handcuffed after speaking up at school board meeting

Based on her face and the faces of those around her, there appeared to be tensions between those sitting in the crowd and the school board as teacher pay and salaries were being discussed.

"A superintendent or any person in a position of leadership getting any type of raise, I feel like it's a slap in the face to all the teachers, cafeteria workers, and any other support staff we have", Ms Hargrave noted.

Hargrave exited the room on her own, but once she reached the hallway, the officer took her to the ground and handcuffed her, leaving onlookers shocked. When called upon, she tried to ask her question.

"It's a sad, sad day to be a teacher in Vermillion Parish", Hargrave said.

"You need to leave, or I'm going to remove you", the unidentified marshal says on the video.

Secret SpaceX 'Zuma' launch scheduled for Sunday
The webcast of the launch did not follow the second stage carrying the payload after it separated from the first stage. This is SpaceX's third classified mission, and arguably its most secretive flight for the U.S. military.

Her issue was the superintendent's new contract.

Suddenly, Hargrave can be heard yelling.

When the city marshal told her to not resist, she replied, "I am not!" Attempting to speak during the public comment section, she was ruled out of order by board president Anthony Fontana and told she could not ask questions during that portion of the meeting.

A woman who was in the meeting later commented on the incident.

"You're making our jobs more hard", she said. Fontana said it would have been the marshal's duty to escort her out of the meeting but not arrest her unless she had committed a crime.

4 powerlifting players killed in road accident in India
Yadav was driving the silver Swift DZire on a highway leading to Karnal, Haryana, and crashed around 4am, police said. Police have registered a case and ordered investigations to ascertain the actual reason behind the accident.

"Stop resisting", the marshal said to Hargrave in cellphone footage aired by KATC. It has directed all questions concerning the incident to the Vermilion Parish School Board.

LeBeouf added that Hargrave is "a great teacher, a great individual".

Superintendent Jerome Puyau told KATC on Monday night that he called to ensure that police knew the school system was not pressing charges against Hargrave, but she was booked anyway, records show.

KATC reports the teacher was booked into jail.
