Blizzard announced Battle for Azeroth - the next expansion for the popular MMO World of Warcraft - will launch this summer and is available to pre-purchase right now.

When you pre-purchase either edition, you will gain early access to unlock four new races, the Void Elf and Lightforged Draenei for the Alliance, and the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren for the Horde. As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth's heroes must set out on a journey to recruit new allies, race to claim the world's mightiest resources, and fight on several fronts to determine whether the Horde or Alliance will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.

Buyers of both editions will receive a level 110 character boost so that you can dive straight in to the new content without going through the grind.

It now expects group operating profit to more than quintuple to 160 billion yen, up from its previous outlook of 120 billion yen. If Nintendo continues at the same pace, it would soon topple Microsoft's console.

However, just because the Allied Races are now available doesn't mean they're accessible to everyone. Thankfully, these requirements are account-wide, helping Alliance players unlock the Horde races fairly easily and vice versa.

Blizzard has also announced that there are two different editions of the expansion. Players will gain access to two mounts: the Seabraid Stallion for the Alliance and the Gilded Ravasaur for the Horde. Everyone can enjoy the adorable baby Tortollan pet.

In addition there are the new Allied Races to play as, a new Heart of Azeroth artifact which unlocks new powers in your equipment, and of loads of new content and associated rewards to keep you busy your way to the new level cap of 120. The pre-purchase page also gives us a hint as to when Battle for Azeroth will be launching: a Summer 2018 release window with an "on or before September 21, 2018" stipulation.
