  • Explosion hits mosque in Libyan city of Benghazi

Libyan officials say twin bomb explosions at a mosque in the city of Benghazi have killed at least two people and wounded 75 others.

The casualties were caused by two suspected improvised explosive devices which went off at the Saad Ben Obadah mosque during Friday prayers. Twin auto bomb attacks hit a mosque in Benghazi's Salmani district two weeks ago, killing 34 people and injuring more than 100 others.

The United Nations mission in Libya condemned the latest "brutal bombings" and said the reports of civilian casualties were "deeply concerning". "Prompt, impartial investigations should bring perpetrators to justice", the mission said on Twitter.

Oh really: Liverpool my boyhood club - Salah
He struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge, making only six starts in 12 months at the club under the Portuguese. Undoubtedly Liverpool's, if not the Premier League's , top signing this season has to be Mohamed Salah .

The blasts follow twin vehicle bombings outside a mosque in Benghazi after prayers on January 24 that left almost 40 people dead.

That attack, which took place outside the Bait Radwan mosque on January 23, left more than 50 others wounded, including a number of senior security officials.

The summary executions are believed to be carried out by Mahmoud al-Werfalli, a special forces commander for the LNA.

A Winter Weather Advisory is scheduled to go into effect at six Tuesday night and remain in effect until six Wednesday morning. Snow will start later in the day Tuesday and continue through the night when 5- to 8 inches of wet, heavy snow is possible.

The LNA claimed victory in Benghazi in July of past year, but sporadic clashes dragged on until December when it took control of its rivals' final holdout.

The explosions hit the mosque at the start of weekly prayers in Libya's second city, which lies 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) east of Tripoli, a security source told AFP.

Libya has remained dogged by violence and chaos since 2011, when a bloody uprising led to the ouster and death of longtime President Muammar Gaddafi after more than four decades in power. The country has been since split between rival governments and militias.
