  • Donald Trump with former Playboy model Karen Mc Dougal in

Former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal said that she met Mr. Trump at the Playboy Mansion after he taped an episode of his reality show "The Apprentice" on the grounds.

"McDougal joined Trump at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, at the Edgewood Resort, on Lake Tahoe" in July 2006, according to the New Yorker story.

The alleged affair, according to the New Yorker, was consensual and began while Trump was married to his third wife, Melania, who is the first lady. Trump told McDougal that his son, Eric, pointed had called her the "most handsome girl" at the event. McDougal outlined most of the details about the alleged affair in eight pages worth of contemporaneous notes obtained by the New Yorker.

Farrow wrote: "As McDougal was getting dressed to leave, Trump did something that surprised her". The two, Farrow writes, would go on to meet up frequently in Los Angeles, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where they would eat dinner (steak and mashed potatoes for him) and then have sex.

Porn star Stormy Daniels told In Touch Weekly in 2011 that she also had an affair with Trump back in 2006, shortly after Melania gave birth to their only child together, Barron. McDougal also said that Trump offered her money after their first sexual encounter, an offer that she declined.

Trump also made comments McDougal found disrespectful, including calling her mother, who was close to Trump's age, an "old hag", and a lewd, stereotypical reference to black men's genitals, The New Yorker reported, citing multiple sources.

Melania Trump's absence was especially notable given her tendency to disappear from the president's side when allegations of his past indiscretions surface.

"No paper trail for him", she wrote. "I'm afraid to even mention his name".

According to the article, this is a tactic that David Pecker, the CEO and chairman of AMI and friend of Trump, would use whenever a story about Trump's affairs would surface.

The Wall Street Journal reported in November 2016 that American Media, Inc., the company that owns the Enquirer, paid McDougal $150,000 for her story about the alleged affair with Trump, and then never published it.

The women all describe being escorted to the bungalow by a Trump bodyguard, identified by two of them as future Director of Oval Office Operations Keith Schiller; with Trump interested in eating in the room and watching TV. The implication is that AMI president and CEO David Pecker - who has described himself as "a personal friend" of the president - bought the story for the sole goal of killing it. "It took my rights away", she said. "I think this is a story the public has a right to know, and I do believe it", she said. The New Yorker says AMI has only published nine of nearly 100 promised columns.

International Space Station could be privatized under Trump administration plan
But he's said he not convinced the industry could bear the financial burden of maintaining the space station by the mid-2020s. The proposal doesn't say what companies would take over or what private enterprise might want to do with the station.

Maggie Haberman, the White House correspondent for the New York Times, pointed out an interesting shift in the language used by the White House in their denials of both stories. In a detailed explanation, he claimed he made the payment in 2016.
