Friday, the storm will move out with partly cloudy skies for most of the area. Snow as a direct result of Toby will end tonight.

Strong and gusty east winds will reduce visibility, especially during the heaviest snow. Forecasters say the late season snowstorm will start out as a rain and snow mix but quickly change to moderate and at times heavy snowfall.

The highest snowfall accumulations will be in central and northern Iowa, as well as western IL, where over 6 inches of snow is likely.

Parts of central Virginia southwest of Richmond could see a light dusting on elevated surfaces, but accumulations are unlikely in the metro and points north and east.
