Allison Mack was released on $5 million bond Tuesday and will serve home detention at her parents' California residence. A $5 million bail bond carries a maximum up-front fee of about $300,000 plus collateral in NY.

As part of the agreement, Mack has to wear a Global Positioning System ankle bracelet and not have contact with other members of the cult, who reportedly include Seagram's liquor heiress Clare Bronfman, "Battlestar Galactica" TV actress and Mack's wife, Nicki Clyne, and India Oxenberg, the daughter of "Dynasty" TV star Catherine Oxenberg.

US Magistrate Judge Viktor Pohorelsky of Brooklyn set terms that prohibit Mack from having any contact with Raniere, Nxivm or anyone associated with the organisation.

While the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has initiated a probe into the incident, Air India is yet to issue any statement. The incident took place in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (VTANI) soon after take off from Amritsar to Delhi on April 19.

Actress Samia Shoaib recently announced that Mack attempted to recruit her into the group as well.

Judge Pohorelsky has forbidden her from using the internet without approval and she will only be able to leave the house for pre-approved activities such as meeting with her lawyers or appearing in court in New York City. She will also undergo cyber monitoring. In addition to her tweets directed towards the Beauty and the Beast star, Mack also tried to get the attention of Kelly Clarkson.

The women in the group were allegedly known as slaves, kept on emaciating diets and sometimes presented to Raniere for sex. She was photographed leaving the courthouse on Tuesday. She was escorted to a waiting vehicle. Nxivm maintains features of a pyramid scheme, as its courses cost thousands of dollars each and participants ("Nxians") are encouraged to pay for additional classes and to recruit others to take classes in order to rise within the ranks of Nxivm. Melinda did not comment after court. Mack allegedly helps Raniere recruit for DOS, the supposed secret inner circle of NXIVM, which has been accused of branding, starving, and beating members, especially when they don't recruit "slaves" for their organization.

In March, Raniere was arrested in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and brought back to the U.S.to face charges.

Ms. Mack, best known for her role in the television series "Smallville", had been held in federal jail in Brooklyn since her arrest on sex-trafficking charges last week.

It is possible Mack has cut a deal with prosecutors to inform on Raniere. According to a court application obtained by Page Six, Mack's lawyers and federal prosecutors are now "engaged in plea negotiations, which they believe are likely to result in the disposition of this case without trial".
