The state just passed a new law that that pays workers to move there to work remotely.

But maybe you need a little extra incentive to make the switch and try to convince your boss to let you work from home.

The money can be used on qualified expenses, including costs to relocate, necessary computer equipment and software, internet access and co-working memberships.

Vermont State Senator Michael Sirotkin said the program would work well for employees "wanting to get out of an urban environment into a more rural environment, those who are maybe paid well and don't want to leave their job".

Vermont's population is flat or slightly shrinking.

The state has allocated $500,000 for the program with a cap of $125,000 per year.

More than 13 million people visit Vermont on a yearly basis, Quartz reported, and the state is hoping it can convince some of them to stay in the state more permanently. To be eligible, you not only have to become a full-time resident only after the start date, but also must be employed full-time by an out-of-state employer.

The Cavaliers, by contrast, have been outscored, 438-437, in the third quarter. LeBron James spent Memorial Day with his kids enjoying some barbecue.

So, you can't move to Vermont to open a branch of an out-of-state business; they're truly looking for lone wolves. The initiative, announced in March, aims to convert tourists into full-time residents.

If you're interested in the Vermont deal, act fast.

The grant is available on a first-come first-served basis for the first 100 people who relocate on or after January 1, 2019. In 2019, grants will not exceed $125,000; that increases to $250,000 in 2020, then drops to $125,000 in 2021 and will not be more than $100,000 every year after that.

According to the Stay-to-Stay website, the program is a "lodging and networking package to connect guests to employers, entrepreneurs and potential neighbors in local communities around Vermont".
