Giuliani says Mueller's investigators trying to frame Trump

  • Rudy Giuliani: President Trump could pardon himself, but he probably wouldn’t

The tweet followed a story in The New York Times on Saturday that published Trump lawyers' confidential memo to Robert Mueller, the special counsel overseeing Russian interference in the us presidential election.

Giuliani, who caused a media eruption this week by claiming that President Trump "probably" has the legal power to pardon himself but that such a move would be practically "unthinkable", suggested that Mueller's team may not even recognize its bias. "In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!" the President tweeted. Giuliani on Sunday underscored one of the main arguments in a newly unveiled letter sent by Trump's lawyers to Mueller back in January: A president can't be given a grand jury subpoena as part of the investigation into foreign meddling in the 2016 election.

He continued: "I think that what Rudy has done is a shame and a disgrace as a former US attorney, and as a former justice official, he knows better, and it's an outright lie".

The President made the assertion in a furious Twitter spree that criticised Robert Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign over interference in the presidential election.

Experimental immunotherapy treatment used to fight breast cancer
That's because they don't really benefit from it, according to a study published Sunday in the New England Journal of Medicine . The immunotherapy treatment remains experimental and still requires considerably more testing before it can be used more widely.

"I think it would probably get answered by, "gosh, that's what the Constitution says".

Just like Stephen Colbert's nausea over President Trump, he said special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion isn't going away.

The letter did not explicitly describe the possibility of Mr Trump pardoning himself.

The former NY mayor, now Trump's legal adviser, said there was no choice but to cancel the summit after Kim Jong Un insulted the vice president and threatened nuclear war. "Pardoning other people is one thing - pardoning yourself is tough", ¬Giuliani told the US-based ABC. "I'm very, very disappointed in Comey", Giuliani said.

The debate over a self-pardon has been further fueled as Trump has issued - or hinted at - a series of pardons to political allies, and done so in a way Democrats say is meant to signal his present and former aides that they need not fear to resist the Mueller probe. He is also looking into whether Trump tried to obstruct the investigation.

He said he was making a "hypothetical point".
